James Cameron's new film Avatar has been one of the most anticipated films in recent years. The film is garnering positive buzz and so is the new iphone game from developer Gameloft. The Avatar iPhone game retails at a hefty $12.99 on the itunes store and is a 189 mb download. So yes, you will have to download it via your computer first. Even having the steep price tag the game is getting great reviews on the itunes store.
The games story has players embark on a journey, taking place two decades prior to the films events. Basically you are the first Avatar. You get to experience all the cool moves of the Na'Vi such as your traditional crossbow as seen in the film, to save the Na'Vi village and their world or you can choose to work for the humans and destroy them.
Gameloft once again pushes the iphone to its limits, with 15 levels to explore, with crisp, vivid graphics that are top notch coupled with intuitive controls. If you are a fan of the movie or just love a great action game then check out Avatar for iphone.
